Printing and photocopying

During a week, you may book up to nine hours in total. You can book multiple sessions per day, but must take a break between any two sessions of 30 minutes at the Library of Birmingham or 20 minutes at community libraries. Bookings are held for 10 minutes from the session start time. At the library, go straight to the booked computer and enter your library card number and PIN.

The software on the computers can cope with most formats. If the document wasn’t created using a Microsoft Office program, you may need to save it as Rich Text Format before our computers can open it. Every UCL student gets a user ID and password so you can access services. You can join Oxfordshire Libraries for free at any time. Please be aware that you will lose your session if you do not take up your reservation within 10 minutes of the start time. If you have a library membership card, you can book by calling or visiting your local library. Buckinghamshire Libraries provide loanable tablets known as Hublets, at various libraries in Buckinghamshire for customers to use while in the library. These loanable tablets should remain inside the library buildings and are subject to the terms outlined in this policy. Our wifi service is not encrypted and as such information sent over the network may be liable to interception by others. Children and young people aged 8 to 15 years must be library members and have parental permission to use the library computers.

On every Friday in every library, computers are free to use for all, to include free access to Microsoft Office 2016 applications. Children under 8 years must be accompanied by a parent or carer when accessing the internet on library computers and loanable tablets. There is free internet access using Internet Explorer or Chrome on the library computers or use the free wifi on your smart phone or tablet.
